Bhutan Green Travel (BGT) is a licensed tour operator registered with the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB), bearing licence number 1026720, and also a member of the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO).
Inspired by Bhutan’s unique policy of “high value, low impact” tourism, BGT was founded in 2011. It is a privately owned company that prides itself in providing out-of-the-ordinary experiences and off-the-beaten-track holidays. In our eleven years of operation we have specialised in tailor-made holidays for independent and group travellers from around the world.
Ugyen Rinzin is the founder and managing director of the company. Prior to founding BGT, Ugyen was a civil servant for over a decade looking after the budgeting of the Tourism Council of Bhutan (National Tourist Board). Following his graduation in the UK, he also worked in various accounting roles and in 5 star hotel in London. He has well travelled internationally and lives in both Bhutan and London.
